Lincoln, NE | I have talked to them (Gowdy Bros. Aero) extensively.
One of the real benefits is they (and others like them) make applications for multiple aircrafts (something over 50 models) under multiple commercial applications. They have done enough, they know the process "pat" and (you are right) they don't make a mistake which sends you back to the rear of the line for another 4-6 month wait. If not done this way, and you move to a different aircraft, your 333 is invalid.
That being said. Its a lot like having your taxes done - it's largely boiler plated. The accountant enters your numbers and hits a button, and your taxes are done with the software.
Keep in mind (today) you need to have an FAA pilot rating or a sport license to get a 333 exemption.
My question is how soon will legislation change the entire 333 exemption process.
I'm betting the whole process will change (someday) to accommodate agriculture.
How realistic is it going to be for the FAA to act on each and every application on a one-by-one, individual basis?
Today, it would be similar to a central government agency issuing drivers licenses on every prospective driver a one-by-one basis.
(your local DMV does this-not one central agency)
For a large part, the above is just my opinion.
