Northeast Missouri | I have bacon and eggs (and sometimes hash browns) in 3-5 minutes most mornings.
My wife shreds potatos and bakes them in 1" layers on a cookie sheet, scores them into squares, then puts the cookie sheet in the freezer. Once frozen, she breaks them into squares and stores them in zip-lock bags in the freezer.
When I fry bacon (yes, I'm the breakfast cook around here), I cut the entire package in half to make short pieces and fry the whole package. Then I store all the cooked pieces in a jar in the freezer.
So for breakfast...
I put some grease in a skillet, throw in a frozen chunk of potatos, and turn on the heat. In a couple minutes I flip the potato square over and put an egg or two in the other side of the skillet, then put some frozen bacon pieces around the edge. When the potatos are heated through the egg is about done and the bacon is warm...and we're off to the races!
When I have the potatoes available this takes about 5 minutes; 3 when I don't have potatoes.
