SW So Dakota | Back in those days the cattle cycle lasted 10 years. I once heard someone say you don't want very many cows in a year that ended in a 6. Building numbers when cow prices were low and selling down before they crashed again was a way to make money. I never followed that route, always just stayed the course. The 10 year cattle cycle got screwed up with all the drought years, not sure if it will ever be the same as it was. | |
