Yep let them out. I would pry suggest a different pen than actual mother if possible. I just grafted a twin off of a first calf heifer onto a cow. Calf was away from actual mother 11 days and when I turned them out together the actual mother came and started licking it. Surprised the heck out of me a first calf heifer would remember that long. They are in separate pens now.
