| one thing to make sure of is to not buy alco axles--we did-dual 12k axles and found out later the brake parts are frightfully expensive--the same capacity dexters are much more reasonable.also if your trailer is equipped with 12 in.diameter brakes DON'T get 16 in. tires. our trailer gets limited use so the wheels hadn't been off the hub in several years.the brake drums exterior rust had expanded enough to make a very difficult task to break them apart so we could install 8 new tires.this trailer should have been equipped with 225-70r-19.5 at the factory to avoid this.hope my experience saves someone else trouble. | |
