The land itself would have to be able to pay its own property taxes and the interest on the loan. That would put 200 bu land somewhere in the $5500-$6500 range. Currently that land in this area is in the $12,000-$15,000 range.It would take a huge drop in land prices to really interest me. There are far better paying investments available that are relatively safe.
What would you have to see to be a land buyer now?
