That rocky part of the field could have been no-tilled. But the camera didn't catch that the rest of the field was sticky "peat-like" dirt. The whole field needed tiled. Cold wet soil in S MN / N IA can usually benefit quite a bit from a little warming up via tillage.

The final bottom line was it was 70 acres of misery, a landlord who showed no signs of building a relationship, and I had other opportunities than this distant field. So I decided that there were other fish in the sea and moved on.
