| I think it's smart running old iron. We run 3 jd9600's combines 3 jd4650's 2 4455 tractors couple jd7000 12 row corn planters two 15ft jd 750 no till's hooked in tandem. And a bunch of other old iron. Always concentrated on buying land and just maintaining are iron in winter. Dont care what anyone says it is cheaper a lot cheaper. Are thought was always what would be worth more in 10 years a 50Acre farm for $400000 or a combine for $400000. I see guys around here buy up new iron steady and then complain about land prices. Just don't get it. What's funny to is we get the same yields more or less. | |
