S.C. Wisconsin | Actually for people who have little retirement money buying a RV is a cheap way to live. But they have to be handy with wrenches and hammers as you can buy a fairly decent gas powered motorhome for 5 grand or less. Pull a toad behind it and when traveling stay at Walmarts and when you want to hole up for a while go to an RV park and work off your rental. No taxes to pay and if they have enough sense they go south for winter so the heat bill is minimal. I know a fellow who bought a class A gas with some water damage in the back end for $3500. He fixed up the bad wood etc, fixed the brakes, hoses, belts, and put on a rebuilt carburetor and old 454 runs like a champ. He drove it from Arizona to Canada without any problems he couldn't fix. | |
