I will still revert to before.  It's his land and you are the custom operator.  If he's not family (not sure where I read into that, maybe just assumed) and you don't abide by his wishes, what's stopping him from simply finding someone who will?  FWIW, I see some pretty shoddy work done around here but until it affects me directly I don't have much to say about it.

I can see where you are in a predicament.  If you do a poor job, it reflects poorly on your skills as an operator.  If that bothers you enough and impacting your ability to custom farm land for others, it may be time to part ways.  In the mean time, do the best job you can with what you have.
