-North Mo | Well stated Nolan71. Those same countries have also advanced significantly in various aspects of the industrial world. They have huge factories built and power generation grids in place to support them. Many workers at their disposal, some coached by Americans, others self sufficient, many stick whittlers have become machinist. This has put unprecedented pressure on the American industrial sector, we are struggling today and we have just seen the tip of the ice burg. Looking further down the road, some will tell you a significant player in WW2 was the US had industrial plants at their disposal during time of need, built and staffed. Seeming over night we switched a Ford plant from automobiles to aircraft engines, Chrysler to tanks- just to name a few. Once they become self sufficient in food and industrialized what's next. Fear not all countries will be like Japan and embrace the "westernization" opportunity. | |
