The 8410 will burn more fuel than the 8400, has a little more hp also. It is not as snappy as the 8400 so it doesn't feel like it hauling silage but put it in the field doing tillage and you can tell the difference. Little better seat in the 10 but I switched the seat in my 8400, about the only real differences between them. They have been very reliable tractors for us
