South East Nebraska | We bought our 8410 new it now has just over 9k hours and just came back from yearly inspection and dyno making 295hp. We have not done anything to it except regular maintenance. My opinion talking newer tractors the 10 series is probably the best tractor Deere made. We bought a used 8400 after we purchased the 8410 and it was an ok tractor but not close to as nice as the 8410. The 8400 had very rough shifting which was common in the early ones. Deere actually put a new tranny in it when the previous owner had it and we had it apart twice. We finally traded it on and 8420. We currently have an 8410, 8420, 8345R, 8360R, and many older tractors. The 8410 still gets put on a planter every year and does some lighter tillage. If it were me I would buy the 10 regardless of fuel consumption. If you ever decide to sell or trade it you will make up the price difference. | |
