I had a pure stand of radish once along the river, they winter killed and we had a early spring flood, and it was really bad. Now I always plant enough of a species of grass to hold the soil, and include radish and legumes. Usually our flooding events only last two to three days, and rye or wheat will survive, if its under more than that most likely no annual grass will survive other than ryegrass. | |
