Last year I used Velum Total + Imidacloprid in furrow, and was pleased with my thrip control. I keep reading about neonicotinoid resistance in thrips and that has me concerned. Since Orthene is cheap I had considered adding it to my in-furrow solution; however, I plan to run a strong pre-emerge herbicide program and I am afraid of increased injury.
