Subject: RE: yield maps showing positive legacy of past management

I rented a house about 7 miles north of the Campanile for 40 years. A previous renter had run chickens in a patch just east of the house and I could see taller corn and bean growth where there patch was nearly every summer. The farmer didn't have a yield monitor so there wasn't a yield map to match. The current tenant probably has a yield monitor but a head twice as wide as the patch so it won't show at all. But there definitely was an effect on the height of the plants. And on the grass in the yard that I planted in the fall of 1971.
