I do not believe those are the coulters that Randy uses. He stressed 2" below the SEED so if planted 2" deep the fert needs to be 4" deep. He called it 2x2x2. He claims that as the roots from the seedling develops they shoot downwards at a 45 degree angle and right into the dual bands. The diagram shows the fert only 2" deep and roots don't really grow horizontally.
