Try $6000/AC/year for some of that veggie and berry production out in Cali.
That would be quite cheep in 2015 dollars for fresh vegetables
For example in the strawberry production study from UC the rent alone is $3500 per acre
Harvest is 19,066 per acre
Total cash costs is $39557 - $48285 per acre
6000 per acre would be something where there a mechanical harvest for processing. |
