Sure.

Click start, right click on computer, select properties, click advanced system settings, select the advanced tab, click on settings under the performance section, select the advanced tab, Under the virtual memory section it will show the size of your page file.

If you have 3 GB of memory, your page file should be 3 GB plus a little bit. I would set the page file to 4095. I realize it is larger than you need.

Back to the original question, the other replies are right. First check to see how much memory your motherboard will handle. Then, figure out what the max size per slot is. Then add as much as possible, within reason. 4 GB makes most business applications run OK.

I use crucial.com for checking memory max size for most hardware. It's not perfect, but usually right.

I'm in small business IT and many of my clients run QB. QB is a memory and resource hog. Don't forget to reboot every couple days as there appears to be "leaks" in QB (depending of version) that is easily resolved with a restart.
