I always try to upgrade memory so that it is same part number as the rest of the memory. If I were you I would see what memory the 2 g stick is and add 3 more of the same type to your computer to get to 8 g total that way all of the setting of the switches in the memory are the same. I just added 4 g more to my desktop and that had 2 2 g GSkill sticks and matched up 2 more identical SKill sticks with the same part #. Your stick is a ddr2 and the prices I was looking at last week for my computer are the same, ddr2 style. I found the 4g memory by using 2-2g sticks the to be the most affordable at about $50 a pair from Newegg.com. Vs other speed chips.
