Subject: RE: For those interested in hyperinflation

Pittsburg, Kansas
I take back what I earlier said about the Fed article. A lot of good information there. The current Fed Board should read it. In the early part of the text it is a little hard to put the Fed speak in context to our own current national debt situation and monetary difficulties, but reading it with some understanding ought to scare the bejesus out of people. At least the way I read it, we are totally ignoring some of the lessons of what they are talking about in the early part of the text. Later on it is hard for me to have an opinion one way or the other about some of the fed actions and the opinions stated therein. I just do not have enough knowledge about central bank workings to have an opinion.

But the Weimar history part is good. I have read most all of that before but had not read this particular paper. It seemed pretty straightforward explanation, and I saw the warning signs for us in it just as I did in previous readings.

Thanks for the link. And my apologies to Keynes.

John
