Ok here is the report from Calloway Livestock Center in Missouri:

Kingdom City - Callaway Livestock Center

Receipts: 1966 Week Ago: 583 Year Ago: 2681

Compared to last week, steers 400-650 lbs and heifers 400-550 lbs
steady to 10.00 higher, steers over 650 lbs and heifers over 550 lbs steady
to 5.00 lower. Demand moderate to good. Supply moderate, mostly weaned
450-750 lbs offerings, near 63 pct steers and bulls, 43 pct heifers, 4 pct cows
and 30 pct feeders over 600 lbs. Slaughter cows firm to 2.00 higher.

Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 185.00-210.00; 500-600 lbs
166.50-196.00, fancy 510-530 lbs 199.00-202.50; 600-700 lbs 151.00-168.50,
fancy 600-640 lbs 172.00-178.00; 700-800 lbs 151.50-156.50, fleshy 142.10-
146.50; 800-825 lbs 147.50-151.50. Medium and Large 1-2 two pkgs 375-385 lbs
208.50-214.00; two pkgs thin 400-475 lbs 199.00-216.00; 500-600 lbs 161.00-
194.00; lot thin 715 lbs 160.00. Lot Large 3 Holsteins 529 lbs 120.50.

Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 160.00-196.00; 500-600 lbs
142.50-161.00, fancy 500-515 lbs 172.00-174.00; 600-650 lbs 137.00-147.50;
two lots 725-765 lbs 137.00-138.50. Medium and Large 1-2 lot 380 lbs 175.00;
450-500 lbs 150.00-155.00, pkg thin 186.00; lot thin 562 lbs 154.00.

I understand the pricing is $ per hundred weight, so I'm good with that, and I understand the range of weights IE: 400-500 lbs., but what I don't quite understand is some of the following:

Medium and large 1
Medium and large 1-2

What does two pkgs mean? lot thin? pkg thin? Large Lot? How do I tell or figure the cost of buying say 1 to 2 feeder steers?

Any help would be appreciated and please accept my apologies for my ignorance :)
