SOOOO many things different now from when Clinton was president. A few of the top of my head.
1. The tech boom
I don't know about that one.
The other day I heard on the national news that Facebook as a company was worth more than General Electric.
GE makes everything from nuclear reactors, to locomotives, to microwave ovens and they're less valuable than a company that generates income from what?
I was working setting up servers in a datacenter in San Jose in 1999 and I remember thinking "you people are all completely out of your minds, but so long as the paychecks keep clearing, I guess I'll keep showing up to work". It feels like I'm watching it all over again now, just from the outside.
