Illinois Steve - 1/19/2016 11:37 It's not the report per say but more the timing of it. February can be a month where a lot of cash flows out of farmer bank accounts. Rents, income taxes, machinery payments, etc.. This could lead to an uptick in farmer selling which in turn weighs on the market.


That's partly why I intend to be out of physical old crop pretty soon, provided the weather stays decent for running trucks.  Forward contracts are filled and just running on basis contracts now, but I only see one direction for basis to move when 69,000 other people decide their bins need to get emptied.
