S Illinois | The way it sounds is in big cities they are almost the only option. Add in the fact of the acquitions these banks have done over the years and most customers laziness when it comes to moving accounts and they get the lions share of business. Also all of the big accounts including most businesses have their accounts through them just due to sheer size. Many times grain checks are drawn on Chase, B of A type place. One stop shopping for mortgages, banking and investment cause people to take the easy route and not shop around. I really thought the online banking companies like ING would have changed the dynamic, but so far it hasn't. | |
