Central South Dakota | Just as a side note to this thread as long as we're generating discussion, the original samples were the green zones off 3 different fields.
the field with the high P and K test,
yellow zone tests out 69ppm P and 548ppm K with a base sat of 65% Ca 28%Mg & 7%K with a 4.6%OM and 6.7ph
red zone tests out 38ppm P and 332ppm K with a base sat of 75% Ca 21%Mg & 3.2% K with a 4%OM and 7% ph
It's just amazing to me how much it can vary across the field, that's why I guess I'm such a believer in the variable rate fertilizer.
