Heck, when everybody else was supposedly swimming in prosperity our costs were still on a pretty tight leash.  Not sure how many 2,000+ acre operations planted & harvested 3 consecutive crops without trading or buying a single piece of machinery, but we did exactly that.  I can be efficient enough with these prices if Mother Nature helps out a little, it's when you have poor production along with awful prices that the ends don't meet.
