NCIA | My opinion is that you necessarily wouldn't need dry or liquid fertilizer in the strip if your fertility is already in good shape unless that is going to be your primary N source. We use a gladiator with NH3 only and our farms are in good shape P&K. If you are doing dry and NH3 at the same time it gets very labor intensive and is more time consuming. Putting dry in the strip is a great way to build up fertility rather quickly on poor farms. If you're putting all your fertilizer in the strip I would use dry and NH3 on the strip till bar and would consider liquid on the planter. Hope this helps. | |
