I believe COC can be done with no/very little yield drag. Residue and nitrogen management I believe are the keys to making it work. A lot of people in our area do not understand or are not committed to making it work. Most in this area have went back to close to a 50/50 rotation. Some people have seen up to a 40 bushel yield hit in the last few years here with such variable weather, we have seen little to no yield loss and occasionally higher yields that COB.
