Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow | You imply you need to sell the grain to keep the dairy operation afloat but what happens if next summer grain prices go through the roof, your crop is short and you need to buy grain to feed the cows? Usually buying grain is more expensive than growing your own by far and even more so when there's a shortage. It would be a shame to sell cheap now only to be forced to buy back expensive later. Remember, if grain goes up so will milk. By what percentage I don't know. |
