Been working with that here. Was on 5 year rotation because the bean yield in the off year gets better with every year out except ferrie shows it getting a lower advantage with every year of COC. While yes it is possible to equal and exceed fields of COB, especially if you have a good residue management program, too often under stressful conditions (too dry, too wet, too cold, too hot) the yield does not keep up with COB. I do like the less problem with bean diseases and better yields there however. I am currently on two year rotation and that seems to be working better.

Edit to add: have also been using humic acid particularly Z-Hume on COC acres to help in residue breakdown and I do think that helps
