I believe the American Motor Club has predicted gasoline for less than $1/gal by summertime if all indications continue.

You know, for some reasons the explanations given us for past high prices don't seem to hold true at these times. There were all the reports of old refineries last year & the year before that were going off-line & driving the price higher. There was the excuse of increasing transportation costs such as salaries & regulations that were driving costs. I can almost 100% assuredly state that none of those costs have gone down in significance. Also....some refinery is going to catch on fire in the next 6 months...they always do. With the present trend, I doubt that fuel price will escalate as it has in the past with blame going to that fire.

I agree fully Ron -  It's what some analyst refer to as "stupid news" . . . . . . meaningless info that can't be explained.

US refineries always, always go off line for repairs and upgrading, every year, each year. The job of refining hundreds of millions of gallons of crude is very hard on refining parts.
