East central nebraska | NO, what people are saying is that you cant have your cake and eat it too. Meaning, if you want to live better than your means then when times get tough dont blame your lack of profitability on high cash rents. LOOk other places first. Ie, living expenses ,cost of ownership on unproductive assets(expensive homes), to many intermediate assets, to much long term debt [buying to much or real expensive land}. This is text book Ag Econ 101 at any Ag College.
