Subject: RE: Hagie 284 vs 2100 SP Sprayer

East Central, IL
The main differences are the suspension, steering and the solution system. The 284's use a two cylinders filled with 90 weight on the front legs for suspension while the 2100 uses air bags on all four legs. Steering varies depending on the year, but most 284s use a cylinders that move on a pivot point on the front of the machine while the 2100 has a steering cylinder mounted to each leg. The 284's use a lever in the cab to adjust hydraulic flow to the solution pump then a throttling valve out on the boom to control rate. The 2100 uses an electric valve to control hydraulic flow to the solution pump and control the rate by varying the flow to the pump. A lot of the things are the same, but generally the 2100 is just a more modern (slightly larger) take on the 284.
