Employee from area coop said that normally on the first business day of the year they write out checks for $2.0-2.5 million. This year they wrote checks for around $800,000. I believe there is a LOT of unpriced bushels remaining to be moved around here.

Well corn and beans are 1/2 price compared to a couple years ago, thus 1/2 price checks.

The 2-2.5 mil figure was from last year as well as the past several years. Price decline and decreased corn yields definitely contributed to this, but a decrease of 2/3 leads me to believe that unpriced inventory is high. Just my take on what I heard.
