That is like plugging a power strip into itself.
If the problem is too much new paint chances are they way machinery has dropped the last few years that all the guy might accomplish is ridding himself of a payment, if he is lucky. Then add the tax consequences on top of that.
You have the right idea but the guy should have never bought that new machinery in the first place, because now he can't get out of it to gain any thing at this point.
