I was able to switch the majority of my land over to a flex rent last year with the base pay a fair amount less then the flat rate I was paying before. I did lose 2 quarters as that landlord did not want to take a drop in rent price or go to the fixed rent. The landlord that I didn't work with did get it rented out to someone else for close to the same that I was paying but I have heard second hand that he has not gotten his second half of the rent for 2015 yet. I have very good landlords and I tried to be fair with them when rent was going up and they are doing the same with me now that rent is going down.
