Northwest Iowa | That would get you through the report but I would pass. If you are concerned about downside use the regular March puts. Seasonally, there is many times a break into mid Feb so that would cover that as well. Options are not heavily traded anyway but the serials are thin. Whether you are a chart person or not, if you pull up a March corn chart and plot the slow stochastic on it, you will see we are oversold and need a bounce. I am not carrying your risk but I personally am not real bearish at this point. Harvest is over and there has been a lot of "bad" news out of China and Korea of late. Plenty of reasons for it to go down and it has actually handled it pretty well. Good luck. | |
