north central SD | I can't see why deflation is such a terrible thing if it's the result of efficiency gained through the use of new technology. If deflation is the result of consumers trying to maintain a certain standard of living while their ability to afford the inputs goes down (demand destruction), then there is a problem. A lot of that problem has to do with people's unwillingness or inability to advance their skills in a changing business environment. We all have to move forward. | |
