SC Iowa | If you look at the bid structures of the bulk of end users throughout the midwest, you will find cash carries from now to July of anywhere from + or - about a nickel or so.......
one person might say that means "the crop is not there" and that the biddiing comunity is having trouble buying corn
while another person might believe that supplies of corn are adequate, and will be even moreso in the last 2-3 months of the marketing year over the western two-thirds of the corn belt......ECB may be an exception as it takes 30-35 cents more to buy corn in Ohio than Iowa right now....how that plays out is anyone's guess...
doesn't mean that folks are thrilled about selling corn at 3.55 March futures, especially with this goofy January weather
sounds to me like it is just the normal variations of opinion about what "makes a market"
