Subject: Crop report results matter?

Southwest Iowa, the center of the universe
Next weeks Tuesday report has all grain traders attention. I'm wondering if it really matters what the report says. 2016 corn, soybeans and wheat all below cost of production will hold acres down. CRP, pasture, and alfalfa all will take acres away. I expect a positive reaction next week regardless of the reports outcome. The market is searching for a low and the report is a great excuse for a change of direction. Fund money flow could very well find commodities a great place to park. Looking back at past January reports finds a change of direction is not uncommon.
