As for slaughter bulls - were they on the lean side? Just guessing, but I would assume that there is a lot of fatty beef trimmings around that could use blending.
IMHO, the sharp drop in December was a normal way to finish a fairly major cycle low. Those of us who have been in it for awhile have seen similar times before. It finally gets to the throw-in-the-towel point. | |
