I do low carb (not no carb) and high protein, plenty of veggies and fruit along with working out. Not all carbs are bad, just the ones we really want to eat....as in white bread, potato chips, pasta, etc. Protein is very satiating, whereas carbs will leave you hungry again in a short amount of time. A handful of nuts mid-afternon goes a long way go keep from over eating come supper time.

Nuts and dairy are what kept me from likely having to have my gall bladder removed. I was having pains last spring and some research taught me that too lean of a dist will lead to developing gall stones. You need good fats which dairy and nuts are good sources of.

I'm down almost 95 lbs in 13 months, but I've converted 30+ to muscle and I still drink plenty of beer on weekends. Don't get below 12-1500 calories continuously or your metabolism will slow down and work against you. Good luck. Eating healthy for some reason costs more it seems, especially when you start buying smaller clothes because none of your old stuff fits!
