S Illinois | Probably take the news report with a grain of salt. No doubt they will import more, but the scale maybe off. Their total yearly domestic consumption is around 450 million bushels. So at most we could see import/export swing somewhere around a 5MMT or 200 million bushels and even then that swing may be optimistic. South Africa just doesn't have the production or consumption to change the corn balance sheet. | |
