Subject: RE: Which tile gps system

Rochester, IL
Jim is spot on.
I think a few other things to consider are if there are any other avenues you plan on going down. Like Dozer controls, yield monitoring, application controls, and auto steer.
AMW, Trimble, and Intellislope will allow you to use any gps receiver you want, although Trimble doesn't make it as cost effective because the base receiver is built in to the display cost.

AMW has dozer control capabilities that they allow to be used unlike Trimble or Agleader.
AMW also has ditch specific software which is specific to waterway/ditch creation. It creates a parabolic shape based on width. Intellislope and WMdrain are made for tiling but can be used for ditching capabilities with a little manual manipulation of the original surveyed line or resurveying lines as you work out from the bottom.

Trimble has platform kits to tie into tractor wiring to use the remotes as the control valves where Agleader doesn't. AMW also has platform kits for specific tractors. Agleader does not, and they pretty much force you into using there PWM valve which is a good quality Parker valve.

Agleader is by far the leader in yield monitoring, application controls, and data management if you need the display for any farming use. Both Trimble and Agleader have great gps receiver and steering options. AMW only offers steering on self propelled machines.
Both Trimble and Agleader offer desktop software for drainage design and topo mapping analysis. In not aware of a software that AMW offers currently.
