| The key here is that you use one. Even a notebook would suffice if you're neat and can add correctly.
Farm Biz is simple and one thing that it will do is it will plug all of your numbers into a schedule F. Not all software does that automatically since not all *most software does not cater directly to farmers.
One slick online service is mint.com. It collects all of your transactions and keeps them all in one spot so you don't miss anything. We use it and every transaction except for cash out of the wallet is automatically tracked, and my wife works on it once a week or so to categorize everything correctly. It is not up to snuff on its own but one thing it will help you do is to not miss transactions.
