My sister is nuts for it, can't hardly expect her to answer the phone when its on. :)
Like said above, Maggie Smith adds quite a bit to it.
Overall, British humor is quite different, but it is in its own way, funny. Alot more subtlety to it.
IIRC on the same night, PBS has Doc Martin, which has similar subtle humor, and out of all PBS shows, I like the new Sherlock Holmes with Benedict Cumberbatch.
British TV is a ways behind US TV, but with crap like the Kardashians out there, maybe the Brits are behind enough that they have not delved into the era of crap television that we are in currently, and are actually now producing better television than we are? :) | |
