E.Central MN | Our local elevator loaded containers for a couple years and then it ended. Said it didn't pay anymore. Thought I read about one of the big grain companies that built a facility just to load containers and that pretty much ended the practice for small elevators. They said that it was easier/cheaper to send the empty containers to one facility that was more efficient at filling them rather than hauling empty containers all over, filling them and hauling them back. | |
