Sac & Story county IA

Single car shipments are a thing of the past. Even 25 car are gone. 110 car, the rail company leaves the power units stand idling while shipper loads. Loading to be done in 16 hours. Just because a rail line goes by some place doesn't mean the train will go there. We taught ourselves train loading 30 years ago. Mainly because the guys that knew the business wouldn't help us.
I have no understanding of railroad accounting. What looks like a good thing for them to do, they never do. Unless you need 100 cars several times a week far into the future and long haul, forget it.
