Here's the mount I made for mine. It's the frame you see mounted about halfway down the uprights with the hitch receiver tube welded to it. The long angle irons are about 1/4" thick steel.
The winch is mounted on a heavy plate with a receiver hitch welded to the underside of the plate. That way I can use the winch for other applications and if I don't need the winch (which is 80% of the time) I can remove it so it isn't out in the rain, snow, road salt, etc.
